Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)

  • Some insurance companies may want you to visit their drive-in claims center before having your auto repaired.  You may do this or you may leave your vehicle at Auto Body Concepts, Inc & ask the insurance company to inspect it here.
  • You are not required by law to obtain more than one estimate.
  • The insurance company CANNOT require you to go to a particular auto repair facility.
  • If you have a difference in estimates & don't know why, we will review the estimates & explain the difference(s).

Fresh Paint Do's & Don'ts

  • Avoid car washes with stiff brushes or sponges that could damage your paint.  Wash the vehicle by hand with cool water and very mild liquid dish shop.  Be sure to use a soft cloth or sponge.  Dry immediately with a soft cloth.
  • Wash the vehicle in the shade.
  • Do not "dry wipe" your vehicle-always use a damp, soft cloth.  Dry wiping can scratch your finish.
  • Avoid parking under trees as sap and bird droppings can mar fresh paint.  Wash off as soon as possible.
  • Do not spill gasoline, oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid or windshield solvent on the new finish.  If this happens, IMMEDIATELY rinse off with water.  DO NOT WIPE.
  • Do not scrape ice or snow from painted surfaces.  Your snow scraper can act like a paint scraper if the finish is new.  Brush off the loose material with soft snow brush.
  • Within the first 30 days of fresh paint, do not wax or polish your vehicle.
